เอเลนอร์คิดว่าตัวเองนั้นไม่สามารถเข้ากับใครได้จนกระทั่งเธอได้พบกับปาร์คบนรถระหว่างทางไปโรงเรียน ทั้งเรื่องร่วมทำความรู้จักกันผ่านทางหนังสือและบทเพลง และนั่นทำให้เอเลนอร์ได้รู้จักตัวตนของปาร์คมากยิ่งขึ้น แม้ว่าพ่อเลี้ยงของเธอจะเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ในชีวิตของเธอมาโดยตลอด และการที่จะทำอะไรไม่ให้พ่อเลี้ยงของเธอจับได้นั้นแทบจะเป็นไปได้ยากเลยทีเดียว
